I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ; c4 r8 t$ \9 c1 ?/ \, E( F5 x: K$ S' |
